For our client, an international engineering company delivering advanced industrial projects, we are looking for a Process Control Engineer.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing process control systems for industrial facilities, particularly in the petrochemical and refinery sectors. The position involves working closely with international engineering teams, preparing technical documentation, and contributing to the design of automation and process safety systems.
Responsibilities
- Designing automation and process control solutions for industrial facilities.
- Contributing to technical documentation and preparing P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Participating in project reviews, including P&ID Reviews and HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies.
- Collaborating with process engineers to develop control strategies, Interlocks & Permissives logic, Cause & Effect matrices, and Control Narratives.
- Preparing functional diagrams and logic diagrams for control systems.
- Developing technical solutions for BPCS (Basic Process Control Systems) and SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems).
- Working with multidisciplinary project teams on international engineering projects.
- Participating in plant start-ups and supporting commissioning activities, including during international business trips.
Requirements
- A university degree in Engineering, preferably in Automation and Control, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience as a Process Control Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within an engineering or design company.
- Knowledge of process automation, DCS/BPCS systems, and SIS functional safety.
- Experience working with P&ID documentation, functional diagrams, and process control logic.
- Familiarity with automation system vendor software and platforms, e.g. Yokogawa or Emerson.
- Ability to independently handle engineering tasks and collaborate effectively with international teams.
- Very good command of both Polish and English.
Nice to Have
- Experience configuring and developing software for process control and safety systems.
- Familiarity with SmartPlant Instrumentation and Bluebeam.
- Experience working on projects in the petrochemical, refinery, or related industrial sectors.
