For our client — a Polish technology company developing its own satellite SAR radar systems for Earth observation — we are looking for a Senior RF / Microwave Electronics Engineer.
This is a role combining electronics design with hands-on laboratory work. The person in this position will be responsible for developing RF circuits, verifying their performance, and solving technical issues that arise during hardware commissioning and testing.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF and microwave electronic circuits.
- Select components and develop electronic schematics using Altium Designer.
- Collaborate on the design and verification of PCB layouts, taking RF signal path requirements into account.
- Commission prototypes, tune circuits, and troubleshoot hardware issues.
- Perform RF and microwave measurements, analyze the results, and evaluate the performance of designed solutions.
- Implement improvements and prepare subsequent versions of circuits based on laboratory testing.
- Document measurement results and design changes.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in independently designing RF electronics.
- Practical knowledge of Altium Designer.
- Confidence in performing RF and microwave measurements and interpreting the results.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to verify solutions in a laboratory environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in an office and laboratory in Kraków.
Nice to Have
- Experience with radar, SAR, or space electronics projects.
- Experience with X-band systems or other frequencies above 5 GHz.
- Experience designing LNA/PA amplifiers, filters, mixers, PLL synthesizers, or transmit/receive chains.
- Knowledge of RF and electromagnetic simulation tools such as ADS, AWR, HFSS, CST, or FEKO.
- Experience using Python or MATLAB for measurement automation and data analysis.
- Experience troubleshooting EMC/EMI issues or knowledge of ECSS standards and space hardware qualification processes.
